About Balch Outdoor Services

Onion Creek slides along the southern edge of Shady Hollow, and after a wet spring the whole neighborhood smells faintly of damp limestone and cut grass. Balch Outdoor Services keeps to that pace, mowing on rotation as the growth comes in fast behind every rain, edging the walks back to a straight line, trimming beds and fence bases clean. Central Texas gives about eight months of real growing weather here, so the work is steady rather than seasonal. Nothing about a yard looks finished until the driveway is cleared and the clippings are gone from the street. Late May, with the grass thick and the light long, is when this stretch of southwest Austin looks the way you remember it.
