First Cut Mowing & Trimming

About First Cut Mowing & Trimming

April on the Llano Estacado arrives arguing — a week of wind out of the southwest, then a morning so still you can hear a pivot turning a half mile off. That is when the winter-brown bermuda finally breaks green and the year's opening pass gets made. First Cut Mowing & Trimming takes that pass and every one after it: mowing on schedule, trimming fence lines and around the mailbox post, edging where grass has crept onto the drive. There is a particular satisfaction in a first cut — the yard suddenly has a floor again, and the season has somewhere to start. The work runs through Seminole and out toward Seagraves, Loop and Plains.
