Thunder Lawns

About Thunder Lawns

A blue norther drops onto Timberwood Park with almost no warning: the sky over the Hill Country goes hard slate, the temperature falls thirty degrees before supper, and the oaks let go of everything loose. Thunder Lawns handles the aftermath alongside the ordinary — fallen limbs and leaf drifts gathered out, lawns mowed on their regular turn, walks and drives edged and cleared. Through a mild Bexar County winter the bermuda rests while the shrubs get trimmed and the beds get emptied of debris. Then March turns the whole neighborhood green in about ten days and the mowers get loud again. Weather sets the tempo out here, and staying a step ahead of it is the trade.
