Rivera's Lawn Services

About Rivera's Lawn Services

Late August along Roosevelt Avenue the sunflowers stand head-high in the vacant lots and the river runs low and green under the pecans. Rivera's Lawn Services carries yards through the hardest end of a Texas summer — mowing, edging, weed trimming, hedge work and cleanup, on a schedule that does not skip just because the grass has slowed down. Heat-stressed turf needs a higher cut and a sharp blade; anything less tears it instead of cutting it. Come the first cool morning in September, the lawns handled carefully in August are the ones already coming back. Everybody looks at a yard in spring, but the work that decides how it looks happens now.
