Mowin' Moe's

About Mowin' Moe's

Saturday morning in Southtown: church bells, a coffee line down the block, and crape myrtles dropping pink over the sidewalks of King William. Mowin' Moe's works these old small lots — cutting grass, edging the walks and curbs, trimming around porch steps and iron fences, sweeping the concrete before rolling on to the next one. Nineteenth-century blocks make for tricky yards, half deep shade and half glare, and the grass grows unevenly because of it. The payoff is a straight edge along a century-old sidewalk, the kind of line that makes a whole front yard look intentional. Neighbors notice, which is most of the point.
