Marvy's Lawn Maintenance

About Marvy's Lawn Maintenance

The first true cool front usually comes down in October, and you can feel the whole city exhale — windows open along Fredericksburg Road, the water at Woodlawn Lake wrinkling under a north wind. Marvy's Lawn Maintenance keeps yards on a steady rotation through that turn, cutting grass, edging walks and driveways, shaping shrubs back into line and clearing beds of whatever summer left behind. Deco District bungalows sit close together, so the work is detailed by nature: tight turns, narrow side yards, gates that get latched again on the way out. Growth slows as the days shorten, but a lawn left at the right height going into winter comes back greener in March. It is ordinary work, done attentively, on streets where everyone can see it.
