Frances & Antonio Lawn Service

About Frances & Antonio Lawn Service

South of San Antonio the country goes flat and sandy, with mesquite and huisache holding the fence lines, and Somerset sits out in the middle of it under a sky that seems to begin at eye level. Frances & Antonio Lawn Service works those yards early, before the South Texas sun claims the whole afternoon for itself. The routine is mowing, edging and trimming — turf brought down to a uniform height, walks and drives cut back to their true border, mailbox posts and fence corners trimmed close. Out here in watermelon and brush country, a tended lawn is a small green argument against a lot of sand and caliche. By evening, when the heat finally lets go, the work still looks the way it did at nine that morning.
