About Texas Turf Specialists

West of Rosenberg the coastal prairie opens out flat and green toward Beasley, and by mid-afternoon in July the thunderheads are stacked up over it like a second horizon. Texas Turf Specialists reads that sky the way everyone here learns to: mow before it breaks, and be edging the driveway when the first cool gust comes ahead of the rain. St. Augustine runs hard through a Gulf Coast summer — it wants cutting at the right height, on the right week, or it quietly takes the yard back. So the mowing stays on schedule, the shrubs get shaped, the beds get trimmed back off the sidewalk, and the walks get cleared before anyone loads up. What's left when the storm finally rolls through is a lawn that drinks it and looks better on the other side.
