Brazos Land & Tree Co

About Brazos Land & Tree Co

The Brazos makes a long, slow bend past Rosenberg, and the bottomland it laid down is deep, dark silt that grows pecans, cottonwoods and live oaks to towering size. Brazos Land & Tree Co takes its name from that river and works the ground and the canopy alike: tree trimming and removal, clearing back overgrowth, and lawn care for the properties underneath. After high water has come and gone there are leaning trunks and tangled limbs to sort out; in the calm months there is the patient pruning that keeps big trees sound and clear of rooftops. Late in the afternoon, with sun slanting low through the pecan limbs, a cleared lot and a shaped canopy show what the work is for. There is room to breathe beneath trees the river itself helped grow.
