About Sandy Creek Construction

In late August the cattle egrets around Rock Island follow anything that stirs the grass, whether tractors, cattle or a mower working a yard, snapping up grasshoppers from the fresh cut. Sandy Creek Construction handles lawn care on this stretch of the coastal prairie, where the heat hangs thick through the afternoon and Bermuda grass seems to gain an inch between breakfast and supper. Keeping that growth cut back and trimmed tight is steady work, and it shows in the long amber light before dusk: a yard flat and even, mower stripes laid down like rows in a field. Out where the land is level as a tabletop, a clean lawn catches the eye from a long way off.
