1970s Lawn Care

About 1970s Lawn Care

Robinson wakes slow in July, the sun coming up flat over the fields east of town while the mockingbirds are already arguing about it. 1970s Lawn Care works those first hours — mowing, edging, running the trimmer down fence lines and blowing the walks clean before the heat leans in for the afternoon. There is a real satisfaction in St. Augustine cut to one even height and a driveway swept back to bare gray, the kind of yard a street notices without quite knowing why. Every lot here has its own slope, its own patch of shade, its own stubborn back corner, so the work never repeats exactly. When the growing slows, the mowers give way to leaf cleanup and the tidying a yard needs before winter sets in. It is plain work on a plain and generous stretch of Central Texas.
