About Waco Lawn Design

Riesel sits out on the blackland where the prairie opens and the sky takes everything else, row crops running to the horizon in every direction. Waco Lawn Design works that ground on its own terms: heavy clay that cracks open in an August drought and turns to gumbo after a Tehuacana Creek rain, grass that has to be read week by week rather than assumed. Mowing, edging and trimming keep a yard legible against all that open country — a made place set inside a very big one. Spring here comes on fast and loud, and by the time the fields have gone tall the lawns are already asking for a second pass. The route runs from Riesel to Mart, Lorena, Robinson, Golinda and on into Waco.
