By late August, a Red Lick yard that has been left alone for a month is no longer a yard — it is johnsongrass to the knee, sweetgum sprouts in the flowerbed, and a fence line disappearing into vine. Lawn Rescue takes that on: knocking the height down in stages, trimming back to the property line, edging the drive until the concrete shows its true shape again, then hauling the clippings out. The last hot weeks of summer are stubborn, the air thick and heavy and the cicadas loud at four in the afternoon. Getting a place back is slow work, and the turn is worth watching — one afternoon a thicket, the next a lawn again. That is the whole point of the name.
