About Parkerson Lawn & Landscape

In February the bermuda around Red Lick lies dormant and pale gold, and everything a yard has been hiding — a shaggy hedge, a bed line gone crooked, last year's leaves under the hollies — shows plain. Parkerson Lawn & Landscape uses that clear window for shaping shrubs, cutting fresh edges along walks and beds, and clearing what the winter storms shook loose. Winters are short and wet more often than white, and a mild afternoon in the fifties is a working afternoon. Done right, the place looks composed even in its off season, waiting rather than neglected. Then March turns the whole county green and the mowing starts again.
