About J crist lawn & gardening

For a couple of weeks each spring the woods around Quitman go white, dogwoods opening in the understory like lanterns hung along the back roads. J crist lawn & gardening works through that season and every one after it, mowing yards that green up fast once the East Texas rains settle in. The work is unhurried and particular: an even cut, a trimmer line that follows the shape of a bed instead of chewing into it, walks edged so the concrete shows its true width again. Clippings get blown off the porch and the driveway, because a job half finished announces itself from the street. By the time the dogwood petals are down and the heat has arrived, the yards on the route have already found their rhythm for the year.
