A summer of mowers, sprinklers and running feet packs Prosper's clay down until water starts sheeting off instead of soaking in. Prosper Core Aeration answers that with plugs — pulling cores out of the ground so air, water and root can get back down where they belong. The lawn looks briefly untidy afterward, a scatter of soil across the turf, and then two weeks later it is visibly thicker. Fall and spring are the windows, when the grass has the strength to close those holes quickly. It is unglamorous work with about the best return of anything you can do for a lawn.
