About RMA Maintenance Services LLC

By one o'clock in July, Princeton runs on shade and water — cicadas winding up in the pecans, heat standing still over the pasture grass past the city limit, the black gumbo cracked into seams wide enough to swallow a key. RMA Maintenance Services LLC works that hour anyway, because Bermuda does its best growing in exactly the weather people hide from. The mower goes down the long side first, then the turns, then the string trimmer around fence posts and the base of every mailbox, and the clippings come off the drive before the truck moves on. What they are after is uniformity: a lawn that stays one color and one height even while the ground underneath it is splitting. Come evening, when the heat finally lets go, those yards along the farm roads look cool from the porch, and that is worth the middle of a Texas afternoon.
