The Backyard Kitchen

About The Backyard Kitchen

A Poteet backyard in the cool part of the year is a room of its own — a table under the mesquite, the fence line, and the grass that ties it all together. The Backyard Kitchen tends that ground with mowing, edging around patios and walks, string trimming the corners a mower cannot reach, and clearing the yard of clippings and leaf drop. In this stretch of South Texas the outdoor season runs nearly the whole calendar, so a lawn is furniture as much as landscape and earns regular attention. There is something honest about a backyard cut and cleared right before people arrive: no stray clippings on the slab, edges drawn, everything ready. That is the job here, one yard at a time, in Poteet and the towns around it.
