About Thompson Landscape

North Texas takes its time about autumn — the red oaks along Prairie Creek hardly turn until November, and then they let go all at once. Thompson Landscape spends those short afternoons on leaf cleanup and the closing mowings of the year: clearing lawns and beds, cutting the turf down as it slides into dormancy, keeping the edges defined so the lines are still there under the winter. A yard raked clean in low November light looks like something finished, and that is a different satisfaction than the green months give. The town goes quiet and tan for a few months after that. Then March comes, and the whole route starts over.
