About Montoya Lawn & Maintenance

October is North Texas's second spring: the heat finally lets go, Rowlett Creek runs cool through the trees at Bob Woodruff Park, and every lawn in town seems to remember what it was doing back in May. Montoya Lawn & Maintenance is out in it on Saturday afternoons — mowing, edging, trimming, seasonal cleanups, hauling away whatever the wind has stacked against the fences. There is a particular satisfaction in the last pass of the day, when the turf is cut, the beds are cleared, and nothing is left on the driveway but the smell of cut grass. Autumn here is short and bright and worth doing carefully. Then the leaves start coming down, and there is plenty more to do.
