About Apache Corporation

Noon on the flats west of the Pecos River is all sky and shimmer, and a green strip of turf is the only soft thing in sight. Apache Corporation handles lawn care in and around Pecos: mowing the open grass, trimming to the fence and the gate posts, edging the walkways, holding weeds down in the rock and along the aprons. Ground out here goes to goathead and tumbleweed the moment it is left alone, so the schedule matters more than the machine. Clippings come up, drives get blown, and the place reads as tended even under a Permian Basin sun. There is a plain satisfaction in a straight mow line running out toward that much horizon.
