April sets the roadsides between Granbury and Pecan Plantation going — redbuds first, then bluebonnets and everything after — and the lawns come out of dormancy hungry for a cut. Pink on Green meets that first flush with mower and trimmer, bringing the Bermuda back down to one height and the bed edges back to a clean line. Spring growth is fast and uneven on this ground, so the early cuts are what set the shape of the whole year.
