Sammy's Lawn Care

About Sammy's Lawn Care

In July the thunderheads stack up tall over the ship channel, turn the sky the color of a nickel, and drop an inch on Pasadena in twenty minutes flat. Two days later every yard off Fairmont Parkway has put on a week of growth, and that is when Sammy's Lawn Care earns its keep — mowing on a rotation that does not slip, trimming the fence lines, running the edger back over what the storm blurred. Weeds move fast in this humidity too, so the beds get worked and the cracks in the drive get cleared before anything takes hold. The heat is honest here and nobody pretends otherwise; the crew simply starts early, drinks water, and finishes the block. A cut lawn after a Gulf downpour is one of the better sights in Harris County, and it is a good thing to be responsible for.
