About Mendoza Services

Pampa borrowed its name from the grasslands of Argentina, and on the high plains of Gray County the reason is plain: the land runs flat and open until it simply meets the sky. Woody Guthrie lived here as a young man, and the wind that found its way into his songs still sweeps across the Panhandle at noon, bending the wheat and humming past the grain elevators. Mendoza Services cares for lawns in Pampa, mowing and shaping yards that have to stand up to that sun and wind all summer long. A lawn held low and level out here is a square of calm you can spot from the far end of the block. In a plains town in July, that small green order counts for a great deal.
