About Goen Irrigation Inc

Olton sits high on the Llano Estacado, where the land runs flat to every horizon and the sky does most of the talking. Water is the whole argument out here, and Goen Irrigation Inc works the lawn side of it — mowing, edging, string-trimming the fence lines, and keeping a yard drinking evenly through a Lamb County July. There is a particular satisfaction in a green rectangle held against caliche and cotton dust, corner to corner, with no dry crescent by the drive. Mornings start early, before the wind picks up out of the southwest and turns every task into a negotiation. What the work is after is simple and hard: a lawn that looks deliberate, in country that hands over nothing.
