About Southern Scapes, LLC

When the first north wind of the fall comes down the prairie into Ellis County, it strips the oaks above Oak Leaf and fills the yards overnight. Southern Scapes, LLC handles that turn — mowing while there is still growth in the grass, edging along drives and walks, trimming close to fences and beds, and carrying the leaves and clippings away. Black prairie soil holds water for days, so the schedule follows the ground at least as much as the calendar. A yard that comes out level, edged and swept looks intentional from the road, and that is the whole aim of the visit. The work stays in Oak Leaf and the towns around it — Red Oak, Ovilla, Glenn Heights and Waxahachie.
