About Melhorn Contracting

January turns Northlake lawns straw-gold, and that isn't neglect — dormant bermuda is only sleeping under the north wind that comes across the open ground. Melhorn Contracting keeps working right through it: clearing the cedar elm and oak leaf drift that piles against fences, a dormant cut to even things out, edging so the walks stay defined, trimming back whatever winter left ragged. Ground that gets cleared in the cold greens up faster in March than ground left buried under wet leaves. There is a plain pleasure in a winter yard that still has its lines. Mowing, edging and cleanup pick straight back up with the first warm week.
