About Riverside Outdoor Services

The Guadalupe runs its pecan bottoms north of town, and the air down there stays a few degrees kinder than out on the open ground. Riverside Outdoor Services works Nixon and the small places around it — Smiley, Pandora, Leesville — mowing lawns, edging drives and walks, and trimming close where the mower cannot reach. Under big pecans the turf grows thin in shade and thick in the sun, so every yard gets read before the first pass is made. Fall drops leaves by the bushel here, and getting them off the grass is as much of the work as the cutting is. A lawn handed back even, edged and cleared is the entire point of the day.
