Cuttin' Jack Tree Service

About Cuttin' Jack Tree Service

Nacogdoches spends March showing off — azaleas going pink block after block, dogwood floating in the understory, Lanana Creek running clear beneath the footbridges. Cuttin' Jack Tree Service works the other side of that beauty, because an old town grows old trees and an old tree eventually leans over somebody's roof. The crew trims and prunes to keep the big water oaks and pines sound above these narrow lots, and removes the ones hollow at the base by lowering them in pieces where a whole trunk could never fall. When a Pineywoods thunderstorm rolls through in the night, the next morning goes to cutting limbs off the drive and lifting brush out of the flower beds. A yard back to itself by supper, with the shade still where it belongs, is a good day's work.
