About Affordable cuts

Late in the day the brick face of downtown Mineral Wells goes gold, and the tall old hotel tower throws its shadow a long way east. That's about the hour Affordable cuts is finishing up — the last pass of the mower laid down straight, the edge cut in along the sidewalk, the trimmer run around every tree ring and porch step. Yards in this town sit on ground that rolls and heaves a little, so the work is as much reading the lot as running the machine. Clippings come up off the concrete instead of washing down into the gutter. Come Saturday morning, the yard still looks like somebody meant it.
