About Vernell Fobbs Services

Before daylight, when the air is still and the ground has not started giving back yesterday's heat, is when a Midland sprinkler system tells the truth. Vernell Fobbs Services walks the zones at that hour — heads that mist instead of throw, a rotor turned into the street, a dry crescent where two arcs never quite met — and puts them right, because in this country water is the whole argument between a green lawn and a brown one. Alongside the irrigation work comes the regular business of keeping a yard: mowing, edging, trimming and maintenance on a steady rotation. A system tuned properly and a lawn cut at the right height carry each other through a Permian Basin summer. Come August, the yards that were set up in the dark are the ones still standing green at noon.
