About Yardman's forte

Every trade has a thing it does best, the note it can hold longest, and for Yardman's forte that note is a Mesquite yard in April — Bermuda waking up, the air still mild, mowers running all over town. The work is played in order: the cut laid down in even rows, the edge carved along the walk, the trimmer working the corners, the blower closing it out. Done in that sequence a yard comes together the way a tune resolves, and the difference is plain from the curb. Spring here is short before the heat arrives, so the schedule stays tight and the growth never gets ahead. Give a lawn its rhythm and it keeps time all season.
