Old Fashion Lawn Care

About Old Fashion Lawn Care

Late in November the pecans finish dropping around the old homestead grounds off Gross Road, and Mesquite's oldest streets fill with husks and brown leaves overnight. Old Fashion Lawn Care works those blocks the way they've always been worked: a rake in the corners a blower can't fairly reach, a mower run slow enough to cut clean, and hands on the parts that need hands. The name is the method — no hurry, no shortcuts around the shrubs or under the porch steps. Edges get carved back to the concrete, the leaves go out, and the yard is left the way an owner would leave it if they had the whole afternoon. There's a plain kind of pride in a lawn that looks tended rather than merely mowed.
