Top cut lawns

About Top cut lawns

When an August afternoon finally lets go of Melvin, the cicadas wind down in the live oaks and long shadows stretch across the yards toward the pastures. Top cut lawns mows and trims in this little ranch-country town, where summer grass grows hard and fast between the rains. The reward is in the straight passes: a lawn laid down in clean, matching rows, its edges drawn sharp along the drive and the clippings swept away. Beyond the last fence line the open country runs gold to the horizon; inside it, the grass sits trim and cool underfoot. That is the contrast Top cut lawns brings to Melvin, one evening-ready yard at a time.
