Max's Lawn Care and Tree Service

About Max's Lawn Care and Tree Service

McDade lies in the sandy stretch between Elgin and Giddings, where the Lost Pines thin into post oak and the melons come in every summer along 290. Sand grows a fine lawn if somebody stays with it, and it grows trees that lean out over a roofline until somebody says otherwise. Max's Lawn Care and Tree Service handles both — mowing, edging and trimming on the ground, then the limb work overhead: cutting back what crowds the house, taking out deadwood, dropping and clearing what is finished. Brush and cuttings get hauled off, so a yard is never traded for a pile. On a June evening in Bastrop County, with the pines going dark and the grass cut even, a place looks exactly the way it should.
