About Compton Lawn Services

Dig a few inches almost anywhere around Marble Falls and you hit caliche — pale, stubborn, unbothered by your plans. Compton Lawn Services works with what grows on top of it, mowing at the height that keeps roots shaded through a July with no intention of relenting. Evening cuts have their own pleasure: long light across the Hill Country, the smell of fresh Bermuda, the trimmer squaring off the corners a deck rolls past. Clippings come off the concrete and leave with the crew, and the edges get re-cut so a walk reads like a border rather than a suggestion. Nothing dramatic — just a lawn that holds its shape through the hardest weeks of the year.
