About James Hilliard & Sons Landscaping

By November a russet layer of pine straw has settled over every lawn in Lufkin, and the sweetgums add their spiny little balls to the pile just to be difficult. James Hilliard & Sons Landscaping works that season hard — raking and blowing the straw and leaves out of the grass and off the beds, hauling it away, giving the turf back its light before the cold sets in. The rest of the year runs on mowing, edging, trimming, and beds kept weeded and mulched. There is something satisfying about a yard uncovered in late fall, all of it visible again down to the edge of the drive. Good grounds work is mostly patience and a full trailer, and both are on hand here.
