A & D Lawn Care

About A & D Lawn Care

Early in Lufkin the fog lies low on Ellen Trout Lake and the loblollies stand in it like posts driven into still water. A & D Lawn Care works that gray hour, when the grass is heavy with dew and the mower leaves a dark track behind it. Mowing, edging, string trimming and a clean blow-down of the walks and drive — that is the round, held steady through the long green stretch from March into November. By the time the heat leans in, the lines are laid straight and the edge along the sidewalk is cut sharp enough to hold a shadow. A yard done right in Angelina County is a quiet kind of welcome, and this is the crew that leaves it that way.
