FATHER AND SON YARDWORK

About FATHER AND SON YARDWORK

In October the wind off Lavon Lake crosses Lucas with a little water still in it, and the leaves start letting go all at once. FATHER AND SON YARDWORK meets that stretch the way it meets every other — rake, blower, mower, and a willingness to go back over a yard twice. Through the growing months it is mowing, edging, trimming and hauling clippings away; through the fall it is leaves, beds and the long tidy-up before cold weather settles into the prairie. Two sets of hands move faster than one, and the difference shows along the curb line. A yard finished right is legible from the mailbox: no stray tufts, no ragged corners, nothing left on the drive.
