About MadDog Services

Five-forty in the morning, headlights on the trailer, the eastern sky over the Caprock just going gray — MadDog Services starts before Lubbock does, because by two in the afternoon in August nobody wants to be walking behind a mower. Mowing, edging, string trimming, walks and drives blown off, one yard after another while the air is still cool enough to work in. The dew makes for a cleaner cut and the heat makes the pace, so by the time most people are heading to work a good stretch of the route is already behind them. Grass on the plains grows on its own schedule and the only way to stay ahead of it is to get up first. Come home hot, come home done.
