Mad Dog Mowing

About Mad Dog Mowing

Late July, and everything past the last yard stands green and hazy in the heat. Mad Dog Mowing runs through Longview in that stretch of summer when grass grows faster than anyone can watch — mowing, trimming, edging, cleanups when the season turns. There is an appetite to it: rows laid straight, the line where cut meets uncut moving steadily across a yard until nothing is left standing. Heat and horseflies and the smell of a warm engine, and then the reward of standing at the curb looking back at it. Some days the lawn is the tidiest thing for miles.
