About Berrios Landscaping and More

By August the pecans over Lockhart are full of cicadas and the caliche drives hold their heat until well past supper. Berrios Landscaping and More carries mowers and shovels in the same trailer, because a yard in this country wants cutting and shaping in the same week. Crape myrtles get shaped, beds get edged and topped with fresh mulch, and the St. Augustine on the shady side is left tall enough to keep its color. When the heat finally breaks and the shadows stretch out, a finished yard looks twice the size it did that morning. That is the payoff, from the streets in town on out toward Dale and Maxwell.
