About Branch Managers

February can turn on this part of Texas overnight, and when ice loads the live oaks the limbs come down across yards from one end of Liberty Hill to the other. Branch Managers works the aftermath and the ordinary weeks alike, clearing fallen wood and storm litter off the grass so mowing can resume. The rest of the year is rhythm — cutting, edging along walks and beds, trimming close where the deck cannot honestly reach. Under those big oaks the turf grows thin and patchy in the shade, so the route follows what the yard is doing instead of the calendar. A cleared lawn beneath a cleared canopy is a plain kind of good, and it is the whole point.
