About J R Construction

In high summer the Frio River runs cold and startlingly clear past Leakey, sliding over stone ledges in the shade of bald cypress whose roots knuckle into the banks. J R Construction pairs construction and lawn care, a practical combination in a small Hill Country town where a project is not finished until the ground around it looks right. By noon the heat shimmers on the highway, and a property here has to stand up to hard sun, rocky soil and the occasional flash flood that comes roaring down a dry creek bed. Finished building work and a freshly mowed yard give a place that settled, lived-in look. After a day like that, a cool dip in the river is the reward everyone in town understands.
