Lomas Land Maintenance

About Lomas Land Maintenance

Las Lomas takes its name from the low rises of Starr County brush country, mesquite and ebony running out toward the river, all of it built to outlast a sun that never lets up. Lomas Land Maintenance keeps the kept ground kept — mowing and edging, weed trimming along fences and caliche drives, brush and overgrowth cut back, lots cleared and the cuttings hauled off. Grass grows nearly the year round down here, so the schedule never truly stops; it only eases for a few soft weeks in January. Evening comes on warm, and the mown yards hold the last of the light a shade longer than the brush around them. That difference is the entire point of the work.
