All Seasons Turf & Design

About All Seasons Turf & Design

February is the kind month here — mornings cool enough for a jacket, downtown near San Agustin Plaza busy with flags and parade practice, the whole city outdoors again. All Seasons Turf & Design works that open window the way other places work spring: clearing away last year's litter, cutting back the shrubs, feeding the turf so it comes up green when the heat returns in earnest. Then the long Laredo summer arrives and the work becomes rhythm — mow, edge, trim, keep the weeds from taking the thin places. Grass in this valley is something you build and then defend, and the crew treats a lawn like a surface with a grain to it, cut in a direction, finished at a line. The reward is a yard that looks deliberate from the sidewalk, in a town that spends most of the year looking at it.
