Nature’s Calling

About Nature’s Calling

In April the prairie ground out toward Marine Creek fills with paintbrush and winecup, a plain reminder that a yard is a piece of that same country, only kept. Nature's Calling works from that idea — mowing on a rhythm the grass can actually keep, running the trimmer down the fence line, lifting weeds out of the beds by the root rather than topping them off. The cleanups are the most satisfying part of the calendar: a spring yard opened up, a fall yard cleared of leaves and spent stalks, the ground handed back ready. What comes of it is a lawn that looks tended instead of fought with. Lake Worth, Saginaw, Blue Mound and north Fort Worth.
