About Brazoria County Services

Brazoria County runs flat and wide from the coast up toward the rice prairies, and the sky over it is most of the view — thunderheads stacked to the south, egrets crossing a ditch line, heat shimmer standing on a county road. Brazoria County Services mows and maintains lawns out of Lake Jackson, working everything from town blocks to the roomier lots where grass simply keeps going until somebody decides where it stops. Deciding where it stops is the craft: a firm line along the drive, corners squared, the turf held at a height that shrugs off a coastal summer. Rain comes fast here and the grass answers within days, so the rhythm is steady rather than occasional. A yard kept on that rhythm never looks rescued — it just looks right, week after week.
