About Lawm & TREE SERVICES FLORES

By mid-morning the breeze off Galveston Bay reaches the streets behind Sylvan Beach, moving through the oaks and pushing the heat around. Lawm & TREE SERVICES FLORES is out in it — a leaning pine sectioned down beside a driveway, a canopy lifted clear of a carport, crossing limbs pruned out of a young oak so it keeps the shape it is growing into. Bayside trees take the weather first and show it: dead tips, torn bark, a branch hanging where nobody can reach. Those come out. After a blow, the storm work is the whole yard — cut, loaded, swept — so the only thing left of the storm is the story.
