My Father's Path

About My Father's Path

There is a way of walking a lawn that somebody has to teach you — the long pass out to the mailbox, the turn, the overlap that leaves no strip standing. My Father's Path mows Kilgore yards at that pace, unhurried and straight, then edges the walk, trims the corners and clears the drive. Slow work reads on a lawn: even height, honest lines, nothing skipped at the far end where it would be easy to quit. The satisfaction is in the last look back before the trailer loads and the truck pulls away. Kilgore, Elderville and Longview yards are kept this way.
